Estate country, lakes and villages south of Guelph
Estate properties, spring-fed lakes, and quick highway access: Puslinch is where country acreage meets city convenience. Puslinch Township takes in the villages of Aberfoyle, Morriston and Arkell, Puslinch Lake, and the farms and forests between Guelph, Cambridge and Hamilton, with Highway 401 across the middle. Aberfoyle is the township centre, with its recreation centre and library, and Morriston sits just south of Highway 401, close to Highway 6. The 2021 census counted about 2,950 homes in the township, more than nine in ten of them single detached houses, and about a third built in 2001 or later.
Work here
The township office and businesses of Aberfoyle, the farms across the township, the businesses along Highway 401 and Highway 6, and the employers of Guelph and Cambridge a short drive away.
Get around
Highway 401 across the middle of the township, Highway 6 north as the Hanlon Expressway into Guelph and south toward Hamilton, Brock Road from Aberfoyle to Guelph, and GO Transit's Aberfoyle Park and Ride.
Weekends
Free public skates at the Optimist Recreation Centre's outdoor arena, ball games at Morriston Meadows and Old Morriston Park, the Millennium Garden in Aberfoyle, the Starkey Hill and Arkell Springs trails near Arkell, and the shops and restaurants of Guelph and Cambridge close by.
Schools
Puslinch is served by the Upper Grand District School Board and the Wellington Catholic District School Board. Aberfoyle Public School, JK to Grade 8, serves Aberfoyle, Morriston and most of the township, and students from Arkell attend Sir Isaac Brock Public School in Guelph. Secondary students attend Centennial Collegiate in Guelph, and French immersion students attend Fred A. Hamilton, École Arbour Vista and John F. Ross Collegiate in Guelph. Catholic students attend St. Paul or St. Ignatius of Loyola and Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School in Guelph.
“Selling and buying can be stressful experiences. Dave made the entire process stress-free from beginning to end. He was always responsive and assisted us with advice, knowledge, and resources each step of the process. Most memorable however was Dave’s wonderful sense of humor and relaxed style. He made the process fun (that was amazing). We have highly recommended Dave to many friends!”
A calm hand in a big decision.
