Living in Perth South
Villages and farm country between Stratford and St. Marys
Perth South Township takes in the southern tip of Perth County, between Stratford and St. Marys, where the Avon River meets the Thames. Sebringville sits on Highway 8 just west of Stratford, and St. Pauls, the township centre, is on Road 122 to the south-west, with Kirkton on the western edge. Wildwood Conservation Area, with its reservoir, beach and campground, is in the south of the township. The 2021 census counted about 1,450 homes in the township, more than nine in ten of them single detached houses.

Get around
Highway 7 between Stratford and St. Marys, Highway 8 through Sebringville, Highway 23 through Kirkton toward London, PC Connect's Route B through Sebringville and St. Pauls, and the VIA Rail stations in Stratford and St. Marys.
Weekends
Swimming, paddling and camping at Wildwood Conservation Area, ball games at the Sebringville Community Centre and the St. Pauls Pavilion, the Kirkton-Woodham Pool and arboretum trail, and the theatres of Stratford and the Quarry in St. Marys close by.
Schools
Perth South is served by the Avon Maitland District School Board and the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board. Downie Central Public School serves St. Pauls and the north, Central Perth Public School most of Sebringville, and South Perth Centennial Public School the south and west. Secondary students attend Stratford District Secondary School or St. Marys District Collegiate and Vocational Institute, and public French immersion starts in Grade 1 at Bedford Public School in Stratford. Catholic students attend St. Joseph's or St. Aloysius in Stratford or Holy Name of Mary in St. Marys, and St. Michael in Stratford.
