What it's like

In Heritage Park, a weekday morning starts with the splash of lane swimmers at the Lyle Hallman Pool on Heritage Drive. By evening, the fields at Rosenberg Park are busy and you can hear skates and sticks at the Grand River Arena next door. Students cross Indian Road to Grand River Collegiate and the Grand River Stanley Park Library on the same campus. When you want quiet, the trails of Kolb Valley and the Stanley Park Conservation Area lead into the trees.

The homes

The City's 2021 estimates count about 3,200 homes in the Heritage Park planning community. Single detached houses make up nearly two in five. Apartment buildings of five storeys or more make up about a quarter, and low-rise apartment buildings about one in five. Row houses make up about one in ten. In the 2021 census, nearly three in five homes in the surrounding area were built between 1961 and 1980, and about a quarter between 1981 and 2000.
