Laurentian West, Kitchener
Streets beside the Laurentian Wetlands and Eby Woods, near the Sunrise Shopping Centre.
What it's like
Early in the morning, the Laurentian Wetlands off David Bergey Drive are still and green, and you can hear birds calling across the 17 hectares of marsh and woodland. Eby Woods adds tall trees close by. On a Saturday, the fields at Voisin Park on Activa Avenue fill with games, and in winter Fox Glove Park's toboggan hill takes over. The Prosperity Trail and a hydro corridor trail tie it all together, and the Sunrise Shopping Centre is about a kilometre away.

In the 2021 census, about nine in ten homes in the surrounding area were built after 2001, more than two in five of them between 2001 and 2005.
