Kortright Hills, Guelph

The Hanlon on one side, the Speed River behind, and quiet crescents in between, with Kortright Hills Park and the trails making the evening walk the neighbourhood pastime.

The 2021 census counted about 1,200 homes in Kortright Hills. About eight in ten are single detached houses, and row houses make up about one in ten. Close to half of the homes were built between 1991 and 2000, about one in five between 1981 and 1990, and about one in five between 2001 and 2005.

Guelph Transit's 7 Niska and 19 Hanlon Creek routes serve the neighbourhood. The Hanlon Expressway runs along its east side and continues south to Highway 401. Downey Road and Forestell Road are the main streets.

Mollison Park covers about 4.6 hectares, with a playground, a softball diamond, tennis courts and a community garden. Kortright Hills Park has a playground, and trails lead toward the Speed River. Kortright Hills Public School is in the neighbourhood.

• Mary Phelan Catholic School — JK to Grade 8. The Catholic elementary school, in Dovercliffe.
• Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School — Grades 9 to 12. The Catholic secondary school for the south end.
