June Avenue, Guelph

A quiet pocket between the Exhibition and Riverside neighbourhoods with an ace up its sleeve: the Trans Canada Trail runs right past, and Burns Drive Park is a five-minute walk.

The 2021 census counted about 800 homes in June Avenue. About a third are single detached houses, about a third are in apartment buildings of five storeys or more, and row houses make up about one in six. About a quarter of the homes were built in 1960 or earlier, and about half between 1961 and 1980.

Guelph Transit's 3 Westmount, 17 Woodlawn Watson, 18 Watson Woodlawn, 20 Northwest Industrial and 99 Mainline routes serve the neighbourhood. Guelph Central Station is about 3.4 km away. Woodlawn Road West, Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue West are the main streets, and the Trans Canada Trail passes nearby.

Bailey Park covers about 3.1 hectares, with a playground, a soccer field and a ball diamond. Burns Drive Park has a playground, a basketball court and a community garden. Riverside Park is about 0.8 km away, and Exhibition Park about 1.7 km.
