Rosenberg, Kitchener

Rosenberg is one of Kitchener's newest communities, and everything here feels fresh. On a weekday afternoon, the doors of the Rosenberg Community Centre and the Southwest Library on Rosenberg Way swing open and shut as people come and go, with Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School right next door. Paths through Williamsburg Woods South lead under the trees just off Seabrook Drive. On summer days, you can hear the splash pad at RBJ Schlegel Park from the playing fields a short drive away. In the evening, Stamson Park on Rosenberg Way is an easy loop for a walk.

The City's 2021 estimates count about 1,200 homes in the Rosenberg planning community. About half are single detached houses, and row houses make up about a third. Low-rise apartment buildings make up about one in ten, and semi-detached houses most of the rest. In the 2021 census, almost all the homes in the surrounding area were built after 2001, and about two in three between 2011 and 2021.

Fischer-Hallman Road runs just east of the community. The Conestoga Parkway has an interchange at Fischer-Hallman Road to the north. The nearest ION station, Block Line, is about 4.6 km away. The Sunrise Shopping Centre is about 2.8 km away.

The Rosenberg Community Centre, at 200 Rosenberg Way, is about 0.3 km from the centre of the community, and the Southwest Library, at 100 Rosenberg Way, about 0.5 km. Stamson Park on Rosenberg Way and Standymount Park are neighbourhood parks, and Williamsburg Woods South is open space off Seabrook Drive. RBJ Schlegel Park, about 1.8 km away, has sports fields and a splash pad, and its Cowan Recreation Centre celebrates its grand opening on November 14 to 22, 2026. The Williamsburg Community Centre is about 1.4 km away. The City-owned Williamsburg Cemetery on Fischer-Hallman Road is about 0.6 km away. The Steckle Heritage Homestead is about 2.3 km away, and the Lions Arena about 2.7 km away.
