East Side, Woodstock

East Side is Woodstock's wide open eastern edge, where Highway 401 and Highway 403 meet. Today it is mostly farmland and natural areas, with a handful of country homes along Highway 2 and Towerline Road, and the County has set most of it aside for the city's future growth.

The 2021 census counts only about 20 homes in East Side, country homes along Highway 2, Towerline Road, Pattullo Avenue and Oxford Road 4. Most of the land is farmland and natural areas. The County's Official Plan sets most of it aside as Future Urban Growth, land kept for the city to grow into, with some service commercial land along Highway 2, under its plans for east and south-east Woodstock.

Highway 2 and Towerline Road are the main roads, and Highway 401 and Highway 403 meet here, so both highways are minutes away. The transit terminal downtown is about 6 km away.

This edge of the city is open farmland along Highway 2 and Towerline Road, with the parks, shops and services of Woodstock's east end a short drive west along Dundas Street.

• College Avenue Secondary School — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school for the homes along Towerline Road and Pattullo Avenue, on College Avenue.
• Roch Carrier French Immersion Public School — Grades 1 to 8 in French immersion. The public French immersion school for the homes along Highway 2, on Sloane Street.
• St. Patrick's Catholic School — JK to Grade 8. The Catholic elementary school for East Side, on Parkinson Road; St. Michael's Catholic School also serves the homes along Highway 2.
• Holy Family French Immersion Catholic School — SK to Grade 8 in French immersion. The Catholic French immersion school, on Oxford Street.
• St. Mary's Catholic High School — Grades 9 to 12. The Catholic secondary school, on Juliana Drive, with Extended French.
• Woodstock Collegiate Institute — Grades 9 to 12. Woodstock's public French immersion secondary school, on Riddell Street.
