Brick Pond Area, Woodstock

East-side streets beside the old brick ponds, where the wetland puts on its quiet daily show, herons at dusk, birdsong first thing, and sunsets that arrive twice, once in the sky and once on the water.

The 2021 census counts only a few dozen homes in the Brick Pond Area, most of them single detached houses on Brick Pond Lane and Old Orchard Glen.

Woodstock Transit's 2 Dundas East route runs along Springbank Avenue South and Parkinson Road, and the 6 Southwest along Springbank Avenue South. The transit terminal downtown is about 2.2 km away. Springbank Avenue South and Parkinson Road are the main streets.

The Brick Pond Wetlands are here, on Springbank Avenue South, and Eastdale Park and Sudsworth Park are close by in East Side. Southside Park is about 2.4 km away.

• Holy Family French Immersion Catholic School — SK to Grade 8 in French immersion. The Catholic French immersion school, on Oxford Street.
• St. Mary's Catholic High School — Grades 9 to 12. The Catholic secondary school, on Juliana Drive, with Extended French.
• Woodstock Collegiate Institute — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school on Riddell Street, and Woodstock's public French immersion secondary school.
