Cedar Creek, Woodstock

The green heart of the south end, where the old golf course lands along Cedar Creek are turning back into parkland connected to Southside Park, trails and naturalized meadows taking shape, with quiet streets watching it happen next door.

The 2021 census counts about 1,200 homes in Cedar Creek. About half are single detached houses, about a quarter are apartments in buildings under five storeys, and about one in eight are row houses. About three in ten were built in 1960 or earlier, about three in ten between 1961 and 1980, and about one in five between 1981 and 1990.

Woodstock Transit's 7 South Central route runs along Ferguson Drive and Parkinson Road, the 5 Southeast along Fyfe Avenue and College Avenue, and the 6 Southwest along Juliana Drive. The transit terminal downtown is about 1.5 km away. Parkinson Road, Finkle Street, Juliana Drive, Norwich Avenue and South Street are the main streets.

The Woodstock District Community Complex, Fanshawe College's Woodstock campus and the Southwood Sportsfield are on Finkle Street and Juliana Drive, and Cottle Park and the Jack Dunn Memorial Ball Diamond are here too. Southside Park is next door.

• Woodstock Collegiate Institute — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school on Riddell Street, and Woodstock's public French immersion secondary school.
