Settled streets on the city's southwest side, an easy stroll from Southside Park's west edge, front porches that get used, evening walks with a destination, and no reason at all to hurry.

The 2021 census counts about 1,060 homes in Westwood Hills. About seven in ten are single detached houses, about one in eight are apartments in buildings under five storeys, and about one in nine are semi-detached. About four in ten were built in 1960 or earlier, about one in five between 1961 and 1980, and about one in five between 1991 and 2000.

Woodstock Transit's 6 Southwest route runs along Ingersoll Road, Fifth Avenue and Mill Street, and the 7 South Central along Park Row and Cathcart Street. The transit terminal downtown is about 2.1 km away. Mill Street, Dundas Street, Ingersoll Road, Main Street, Anderson Street and Bower Hill Road are the main streets.

West End Park, Park Row Park, Chuck Armstrong Park, Hillside Park, Broadview Park and Cedar Creek Park are the neighbourhood parks, and Southside Park is about 1.6 km away.

• Central Public School — JK to Grade 8. The public school for the northern streets, including Main Street, Yeo Street and Ingersoll Road, on Hunter Street.
• College Avenue Secondary School — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school for the southern streets, including Fifth Avenue and Bower Hill Road, on College Avenue.
• Woodstock Collegiate Institute — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school for the northern and western streets, including Main Street, Yeo Street, Ingersoll Road and Telfer Street, on Riddell Street, with French immersion.
• Oliver Stephens Public School — Grades 1 to 8 in French immersion. The public French immersion school for the southern streets, on Fyfe Avenue; it also has an English program.
• Roch Carrier French Immersion Public School — Grades 1 to 8 in French immersion. The public French immersion school for the northern streets, on Sloane Street.
• St. Patrick's Catholic School — JK to Grade 8. The Catholic elementary school for Westwood Hills, on Parkinson Road.
• Holy Family French Immersion Catholic School — SK to Grade 8 in French immersion. The Catholic French immersion school, on Oxford Street.
• St. Mary's Catholic High School — Grades 9 to 12. The Catholic secondary school, on Juliana Drive, with Extended French.
