Eastview, Cambridge

Eastview sits on the eastern edge of Galt, where newer streets like Green Gate Boulevard and Maple Bush Drive curve between parks and natural corridors. Greengate Park is the neighbourhood's gathering place, with a skateboard park, outdoor fitness stations and a soccer field. On warm evenings, the sound of skateboards carries across the park. The Maple Bush Natural Corridor brings a ribbon of trees between the streets. The new Giinawind Public School and Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School are a short walk south on Wesley Boulevard.

The 2021 census counts Eastview together with Lincoln Oaks, and the two had about 2,800 homes. About half are single detached houses, and apartment buildings under five storeys make up nearly a quarter. Row houses make up about one in seven. About a third of those homes were built in 1960 or earlier, nearly all of them on the Lincoln Oaks side, and about one in five after 2011.

Grand River Transit's 50 Dundas-Myers, 53 Franklin and 63 Champlain routes serve the neighbourhood. Ainslie Street Terminal, with the 302 ION Bus to Fairway ION station in Kitchener, is about 2.8 km away. The planned Cambridge Terminus station on Stage 2 ION, which the Region has approved and is now designing, is about 2.7 km away. Main Street runs through the neighbourhood, and Franklin Boulevard leads north to Highway 401.

Greengate Park and its extension cover about 4 hectares, with a playground, a skateboard park, a soccer field, a volleyball court and outdoor fitness equipment. The Maple Bush Natural Corridor and the Fitzgerald Drive pond add green space, and footpaths link Chester Drive to Broadoaks Drive and Green Gate Boulevard to Maple Bush Drive. The Queen's Square branch of the Cambridge Public Library is about 3.2 km away.

• Moffat Creek Public School — JK to Grade 8. The public school for the western streets, including Robinson Avenue, with French immersion from Grade 2.
• Glenview Park Secondary School — Grades 9 to 12. The public secondary school.
• Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School — JK to Grade 8. The nearest Catholic elementary school, on Wesley Boulevard, opened in September 2026.
• Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School — Grades 9 to 12. The nearest Catholic secondary school, about 2.5 km away.
