What it's like
Lakeshore North is a neighbourhood of winding crescents between Westmount Road North and Weber Street North, built mostly in the 1980s. At Pinebrook Park on Sprucehurst Crescent, the bounce of basketballs carries from the courts on summer evenings. Benjamin Park, a woodland of nearly seven hectares off Weber Street North, offers deep shade on the hottest days. About a kilometre west, canoes and sailboats glide across the reservoir at Laurel Creek Conservation Area on summer weekends.

The City's 2021 census profile counts about 2,000 homes in the Lakeshore North planning district. About seven in ten are single detached houses, and semi-detached houses make up about one in six. Row houses and low-rise apartment buildings make up most of the rest. In the 2021 census, nearly three in five homes in the surrounding area were built between 1981 and 1990, about one in five between 1991 and 2000, and about one in six between 1961 and 1980.
