Lincoln Village, Waterloo

Lincoln Village centres on Dearborn Boulevard, where its streets give way to the woods of Forwell Park. In autumn, leaves crunch underfoot on the paths through Forwell's nearly nine hectares of forest. Blue Springs Park, a smaller woodland on Blue Springs Drive, keeps another patch of green close by. Hillside Park's ball diamonds are just a few hundred metres away. On a rainy afternoon, the cinema at Conestoga Mall is a short drive north, about a kilometre and a half away.

Lincoln Village is the City's Dearborn planning district. The City's 2021 census profile counts about 675 homes there. Just under half are in apartment buildings of five storeys or more, and about two in five are single detached houses. Row houses make up about one in nine. In the 2021 census, homes in the surrounding area were built over several decades: about a quarter between 1961 and 1980, about a quarter between 1981 and 1990, about one in five between 1991 and 2000, and about one in five after 2001.

Grand River Transit's 31 Columbia route runs nearby. Conestoga ION station is about 1.5 km away, and Research and Technology station about 2.3 km. Lexington Road runs along the north side. The Conestoga Parkway has an interchange at King Street North, beside Conestoga Mall, about 1.5 km away.

Forwell Park, at 65 Blue Springs Drive, is an 8.7-hectare natural area with a playground and an outdoor rink. Blue Springs Park, at 60 Blue Springs Drive, covers about 2.2 hectares. Holbeach Green is a small green on Lexington Road. Hillside Park's facility area, with two ball diamonds, is about 0.3 km away. Conestoga Mall, with more than 130 stores and a cinema, is about 1.5 km away. Sugarbush Park and the Moses Springer Community Centre are each about 1.6 km away. The Lincoln Village West group serves part of the area.
